Im looking at possibly getting an 02 maxima, that does not have a moonroof, has every other option I want except that. I know dealers install them or send them out to be installed. Im wondering if anyone has done this? also what is the cost?

 

Dealers usually send them out to be installed. In my area, Automotive Concepts does the work, and they are charging anywhere from 800 to 1100 to get this done, depending on the season. The thing is, any aftermarket monroof will never be as good as the factory-made. You are more likely to have leaking sunroof in a few years. If having a monroof is a must for you, I highly recommend only buying a car that already has one.
