Cefiro One Piece Headlights Installed on the Maxie..(pics)
Entire process took (the installer and I) 2 hours. Not too bad considering it was the first time installing the headlights. We were being extra careful not to damage the headlights because fitment is very tight. There is cutting involved, but all cutting was done BEHIND the headlights. No bodywork necessary as I've always claimed.
The housing is crystal clear.. I've seen it on Simon's Maxima (converted into Cefiro) before but to see it on a Maxima just made me wonder why didn't Nissan use these headlamps on the 4th gen here in the US
By the way, the 2nd Cefiro headlight groupdeal is underway *shameless plug* :

What bulb type does it take without the H4/HID option?

Those look nice. I noticed that you have metal straps holding your grille to the sub-frame, is this due to the loss of the grille supports on the Nissan headlights?
I'd go for these if I didn't already have 8000k 9004 HIDs and brand new aftermarket Nissan headlight assemblies

Can you make the details of the work required to fit those in public to us? I've been interested in this for years, ever since SY first showed me his work at Yaohan's.
Am I safe to assume that the two piece Cefiro lamps would fit the same way?
Thanks

Will you do a write up on the install? Do you have pics of the install and what has to be cut?
I am pretty broke right now but these look sweet, plus I would really love to improve my lighting but don't want to annoy other drivers with the glare caused by using HIDs in the stock headlamps. With regular H4 bulbs these will improve light output over stock, Right?

KLoWnPR109: These headlamps are H4 housing, however, it is not difficult to revert back to 9004.
Iilac: Write up? ... hmm.. I haven't had much time. Maybe I'll do a write up somewhere down the line.
Turbo95Max:
Albertt: I can show you exactly what needs to be done over a venti Starbucks caramel frap
Chunger: Everything will be shipped out today. I'll email you tracking info this afternoon.
araffio: Check your PM. We need to talk.
mzmtg: yes I will, later tonight when I get home from workie.
AlbertOh: These Cefiro headlights are from Nissan i30 in Taiwan (where they drive on the same side as USA).
dwapenyi: No secret.. We just trimmed away the inner bracket bit by bit so that the headlights can be pushed as tightly against the fender as possible (without damaging the headlights in the process). Turbo95Max's lights look pretty dam*n tight as well.
Anachronism: The gap bet. my bumper and bottom of the light is the way my maxie is. I had major bodywork done with the car when it got into a bad accident about 2 years ago. When the other people on the first groupdeal installs the headlights on their ride, there won't be that big of a gap.
With my groupdeal, all headlights comes with bulbs (Philips Halogen h4 bulbs. Made in Germany). It greatly improves the output. None of that 'glare' that you're talking about.
EteRnity059: Man, remember, you only need to put 50% down until the shipment arrives.
1HOTMAX: Kevin
Gary95: Yes they can be used on 95-99 Maximas. Same process for the install. The headlights come with Genuine Philips H4 bulbs (non HID).
Who else did I miss?

The difference between H4 headlamps and your stock lamps will almost be night and day. I've seen the difference first hand, a member here recently installed Cefiro lamps on his I30, and all I can say is wow.

Too bad the beam pattern will be all wrong. With the lights meant to be used on a right hand drive car, the lights will not have the correct beam pattern. You'll notice it especially with HID's. You'll find that the light is aimed way too far to the top left. Also, because they are not DOT approved for North American usage, they will not light up signs properly. DOT setups have a scatter of a light shard that goes up at a high angle so as to light up the signs when you are within a close distance to the sign, so that you aren't constantly blinding oncoming and in front traffic. Don't forget, it will no longer light up the side shoulder on those dark roads properly anymore as well.

These lights are OEM from Taiwan Nissan i30. Vehicles in Taiwan drives on the SAME SIDE of the road as North America.
Right now I'm running 9004 (the HID kit that I had before the headlight conversion). Looks like I will need to convert to H4. Yes, my H4 hid kit has the shield over the bulb (unline 9004 bulbs), to reduce stray light bouncing off the bottom reflectors illuminating above the cutoff line. Below is pic of the beam pattern (with 9004 bulbs):
