3rd gen Auto-Manual conversion..need help on prob...

had orginally posted this in 3rd gen forum but havent got any replies so im hoping someone from general forum can offer some help/advise. thanks

we juss completeed a lengthy 4 month motor swap and 5speed conversion on a guy's 3rd gen. its a 91 Max with the VG motor. using the auto trans wiring harness. Could anyone provide some insight or info on what wiring and bypass we have to do for the car to crank? basically when we turn the key it doesnt even crank. any help at all would be great...we already have a FSM, for some reason the wiring diagrams make me more confused...my 95 manual seems alot easier to read and understand. thanks alot!

Well have you tried jumping anything yet? I know that you probably have to jump the lockout feature of the auto that prevented the car from turning over in gear. Try contacting Kaleb

Probably doesn't matter. What would matter is any plugs he took off that were attached to the auto tranny need to be accounted for on the car's wiring harness. I would "assume" that an unplugged plug would leave the cicuit open and would not allow the car to start.

you said my name, say it again

It is opposite from the VE, John at Finishline has done many VQ swaps and he said the VE and VQ were pretty much identical to do, he mentioned the trannies would even bolt up to each other.

On another note, Derrick brought his car to John and John told me he was completely lost with the VG.
