Total Loss Question

Well it's official, the appraiser came yesterday and said that the car was a total loss. How much should I expect to get for my car. 1998 nissan maxima SE fully loaded with 54,000M.. If you didn't see the pics already here they are. http://www.sprintmax.com/othercars//...umName=98maxse

Well if you look at the bottom of the car everything is bent. Looks like they went 4 wheelen in the car. Also the whole interior is damged, everythin, seats sliced door panels, dash, headliner. Whole car is keyed and every single light and mirror is broken on the car.

Take out all the mods that are left. You should get atleast $10k on your first or second offer, but maybe $12k on the third or forth offer. Just look at some prices for a 98 SE Max's at a Nissan dealer near you and show it to your insurance company so they'll give you a decent amount.

How do you do that? They tell you a price and you gotta say no? I have never dealt with something like this.

F#$%ing A$$holes

Sorry about you loss man. I hate when this crap happens. I had my system stolen out of my car and at least they did it clean. No damages. I'm so ****ed for you. That is insult to injury with all the slander they keyed into your car? I would find these people and beat the living H#ll out of them. Looks like it was personal if you ask me. They really didn't take much from what I see in the pictures. I'm surprised to see that they didn't take you kit, exhaust, seats, dash, and other stuff. That is all worth money. Must of been dumb kids. Once again sorry about you loss. As for insurance. Do not take the first offer. I got offered $8000.00 last year for my 95 w/ 105000. I ending up with $12000.00. Include your mods and if you have receipts, that will help too. Pictures will do better too. Give them a rough estimate of how much extra you put into the car. Hope this helps. Take care
