I have 2000 Maxima, and I need to buy a bulb.
I went to store and guy there said he doesn't know what H4 stands for.
I was like what?

9003 = H4

Yes they are the same thing. That's odd that he didn't know what H4 type bulbs were. If you're looking for a good bulb that increases visibility, get the Philips Vision Plus, they are the same as stock wattage but provide increase visibility.

Yes, H4 is the European designation (like H3, H1, H2 and H7). 9003 is the AISI designation (like 9004, 9005, 9006 and 9007) given to bulbs certified in this country.

If you want whiter light...the Philips BlueVisions are also good alternative.
