Have you seen a VQ with dual throttle bodies?

This is snapshot from a Nissan information video promoting the VQ engine back in 1995.

I found the video on Ebay and captured it to AVI.

I can host it for a month or so, It's about 25MB

http://maxxed.zftp.com/VQ.avi

Also a video explaining the multilink beam.

http://maxxed.zftp.com/Multilinkbeam.avi

You may need the XVID codec to watch the videos.

Enjoy!

Not only that, but that's a rwd engine. Like maybe it was intended for the Z or the J30.

The video was given to journalists back in 1995 to promote the 4'th generation maxima.

The ONLY reason why a 3.0L V6 would need dual throttle bodys was if it's Twin-Turbo, so maybe this WAS going to be put in the 300Z before it got axed.

According to my A'pex SAFC II manual, the VQ30DE was used in 5 different JDM vehicles. Understand that each vehicle probably has different variations to the motor. Also, there are 9 vechiles that use the VQ30DET. Again, there are probably many variations. I think the motor shown might have been considered to be used on the USDM Maxima A32, but was probably changed.

Yeah thats real cool. Also did you guys ever see pics of the VQ race engine that had a throttle body for each cylinder? That was pretty cool looking too.

For those who can't view the video, try BSplayer. It's a freeware media player. You can download it here

4.5mb/sec REAAAALLLYYYYYY NIIIIICEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
Also the beginning of the video it says vq30de not vq30det or vq30dett. Meaning our car would have been one bad motherfokker instead of just one bad fokker. Then again it says it's a VQ-X concept meaning that the VQ we have was already designed...
