what's coming out of my exhaust? *pics*

these metal particles are showing up again each time i take off my silencer to clean. it went away for awhile, and they're back again. anyone know what these are and where in the exhaust line they're coming from?

Seems like the silencer is rusting and the inside of that tip is rusting as well. Seems normal.

there's no visible rust inside the tip or on the back side of the silencer though. both are SS and i only have them for about 8 months. i started her up yesterday and watched, and every now and then something will shoot out. can it be the cat?

Then im going to say the cat might be the culprit. Going to have to rip that off to see if the honeycomb inside is still intact or falling apart.

what's the rest of the exhaust in front of the muffler? if it's old, then that's probably rust and scale that's chipping off from anywhere behind the cat.
buy a new exhaust and the problem should go away.

They look like the particles from the CAT. I would say 99.9%
