All HID kits are plug and play, talk to Freddie (97GLES) if you want Hanabi kits which personally I think are the best. Plus he's always available if you need help with them which can't be said for all places.

Yeah, as long as the kit is plug and play, it really is quite easy. The most difficult part is deciding where to mount the ballasts and ignotors.

This may be a bit off topic, however, what temp rating are the stock 02+ Maxima headlights. It says 4000k, but I thought it was higher than that. Chris

I have the Catz 4500K Hi/Lo kit and was plug and play all the way down to the connector to the stock harness. If Greg's kit doesn't have the stock harness all you will need to do is tap the wires to your harness.

Yep Catz id definetly the easiest to install. Its 100% true plug and play, the layout is very simple. Go over to hidforum.com to find out more info about hids. Hanabi is not the best choice you can go with. Catz, Phillips/Osram ect... you will find out are on the top. Better yet they come with a 5yr warranty.

People can't even get the Catz kit legally now and a lot of dealers have stopped selling them.

Oh and just to let you guys know, the reason the max's lights look sooo damn bright is not because the HIDs ballast is putting out that much more power. Both the alti and the max's units are putting out 35watts to each bulb. The only reason the max looks so bright is because the beam pettern is all jacked up. You want the light to be concentrated on a certain area (the road ) not spraying light in all directions (like oncoming traffic, or peoples faces ect... )

The beam is legally supposed to stay mostly in your lane. The legal limit is supposed to be 80-90% of the beams bulk staying in your lane. That however is nearly impossible, even the stock HIDs were lighting up half the the lanes to my right and left but glare is one problem I do not have.
Check out the trees, they shouldnt be getting any light...make any sense

Edit: that max needs to be lowered so bad

I know a fact the bulbs are warrantied for 5yrs, 3000hr burn each capsul I belive. It takes apprx 80hrs to burn in so my fogs are still burning in, even though I get them in over 2months ago. As for the rest of the components, they should have atleat 1yr warranty on them. Check out www.liteswap.com for additional info.
I had a little problem with the fogs at 1st, one of them burned a diff color and they just sent me a new pair so these have less then 5hrs of burn on them. Its obvious from the pics they are still shifting color...

Warranty Information:
Complete warranty information is included in each kit. All CATZ HID bulbs have been tested at the factory. In order to ensure that you have received the bulb in good condition, all bulbs are shipped in FACTORY SEALED packaging. This is the FACTORY SEAL and ALL HID bulb warranties are based upon the integrity of this seal.

The bulb MUST be tested while it is in it's factory dealed packaging. This process usually takes 2-5 seconds and you will know the HID bulb is good. HID Bulbs are extremely delicate and must be handled as little as possible during installation.
Catz HID systems carry a 1 year manufacturer's warranty on all parts except the HID bulb. (Ballasts, igniters, high-low controllers, relays, etc.)
HID bulb warranty is only valid while the HID bulb is in the factory sealed packaging. Complete details are enclosed in the kit.
ALL UNSEALED and OPENED HID bulbs are AS-IS, NO WARRANTY. Bulbs are extremely fragile and damage can only occur from mis-handling of the bulb itself.Click to go the actual page.

Most people here don't even understand what a good kit consist of. Would we be bad if we did rub it in?

Custom maxima sucks in general. I ordered the kit and sent it back immediately, reason being he lied to me about the ballast make, its some cheap korean stuff I specifically asked him if it was a Hella ballast and he said yes so he lied and I called him and pretty much told him to shove his company up his ****. Andrew do not buy from him.
