I live in Ottawa Canada. My 2000 Maxima is currently in sick bay with automatic transmission problem. It has only 30 000 km, just under 20 000 miles on it. I love this car but this episode has disappointed me. I do not drive the car hard. It began with surging as it tried to go from first to 2nd and from 2nd to 3rd. Then it began to squeel on shifts. They are ordering me a clutch mechanism for my tranny. Are there other problems out there? One technician expressed concern about the use of the 4th generation tranny on the new higher horsepower Maxima. Thoughts???
anyone recall the new reprogram tranny TSB for the 5th gen??
