So how would performance of a 1lb pulley compare with say a 3lb aftermarket pulley? Especially on something most say can't be dyno gain proved?
Is 1lb too light? Would it have any side-effects like too light a flywheel?
Finally what's the track record of Motostorm products (if any). I've got a UR now that's been fine for years. I need convincing before switching. Price doesn't really matter when engine life is involved.

Brett is a Very Great Guy to deal with!!! He keeps his word, and gives a very quality product. I myself have purchased his Gauge Bezel and some Chrome Paint, and am very satisfied with the way he conducts business.

BEJAY1:
UR states 2.7hp for every lb taken off the pulley. I don't think it would hurt driveability at all, but if its any smaller than the UR, I'd be worried about accessories getting enough power. I can't imagine how they made it "that" much smaller than UR's.... UR sacrificed a lot to make theirs 1.49lbs. Make sure they are giving you the exact weight... not the "oh yea, it's around 1lb"
Where did you get your info about it being 3 lbs? As stated on UR's site:
http://www.unorthodoxracing.com/weights.html
The stock pulley weighs 4lbs 13.4oz, and the UR pulley weighs 1lb 7.8oz. (search for maxima)
Overall, loosing a half a pound on an underdrive pulley probably won't be noticeable at all. I'd stick with your UR, it's been known to be a very reliable product.... And we all know what happens when you have a badly cut timing ring on a pulley *cough* RVM *cough* You could very easily damage your crankshaft position sensor.

I ordered one today, he said it would ship out next Monday. I'll let you all know how it works. And I am sure he took a while to design the oil ring, since he specifies it's durability in the ad.

Yeah, Brett is pretty good with his material. If he says its legit, then I belive it is. Ive always trusted him with his products, just look at his gauge bezels, and his new Chrome S5 Grill for the 4th gen. He loves chrome, thats why I love him, and he even made the UDP in Chrome!

As krismax stated - I too want the other pulleys; the water pump one, and the 3rd (steering pump?)
