Overspray!!! HELP!!!!!!

Some Idiot decided to spraypaint part of their car yesterday in the parking lot where I live. My wife had her brand new (1 month old) Sante Fe parked in the spot next to where the incident took place. When she went out to the car she noticed overspray on the car. She showed me it and it is a mess. Out new car is covered with overspray. The car is dark blue and is peppered with white paint. It is everywhere!!!

My question is has anybody ever had luck with overspray clays to remove this type of problem? Or what would you recommend? I am on the lookout for the car that did the deed and when I find it... We filed a police report and if I can find the car that was responsible then I will be able to get them to pay for it but that is easier said than done.

Thanks in advance

Chris

We use the clay bar in the body shop to remove overspray. Works like a charm. Use soap and water as lube for the bar.

Polish when your through and your paint will be baby smooth again.

Take some photos of your car with the overspray. Contact your insurance and have them advise you. If you can find the responsible party, it could work to your advantage.

Oh, when you find the people who did this, present them with the idiot of the year award.

I already did all that, including a police report. I am still on the lookout for the moron.
