Since I could probably count the number of modded Maxs in my immediate area in one hand, i've neva been able to see what these bulbs look like in person so I’m wanna kno what ur opnion is. should I get…

PIAA H3 Super Plasma (55W = 85W, 5000K)
…or…
PIAA H3 Ion Crystal (55w = 85W, 2500K I think)

I hear that the Super Plasma matches great with the 2k2 HiDs but I also think that the deep yellow of the Ion Crystal in the fogs would also look sik.

The Ion crystals yellow isnt deep at all, go with the plasma.

 

really?? i thought they were deep yellow like the fogs on the new Lexus?

From what I understand Lexus uses a yellow colored cover type thingy that sits in the fog housing around the bulb which creates that intense light . The Ion bulb from PIAA puts out more of a soft light colored yellow which looks stupid.

 

Berto, get the Plasma's. Call me at x-3301 later (I still don't know what I running this time around since this is like my fourth pair)

I had the Plasmas and sold them. I hated them. Go with the Ion's for contrast.

 

I like the Ion's alot.

I have HID and el-cheapo ion knockoffs in my fog housings. They're a little lighter colored than the PIAA's but you get the idea I guess:

 

I have Super Plasma H3's in my driving lamps. They are PIAA 2100XT lamps. Sorry, don't have HID's....do have PIAA Xtreme Whites though.

thanx... i saw sum audi's tonite driving round town with HIDs and Ion's... the contrast of colors looked pretty sweet but they really werent that bright... so im still totally undecided. hmmm... more pics any one, LoL ?!?! ill figure it all out im sure.

 

Sometimes you gotta spend a lil extra and buy both items...

 

i ordered PIAA Super Plasma H3 for da fogs, PIAA Xtreme white wedge bulbs for all 4 side markers and all 4 door step lights, PIAA Xtreme white T6 for my dome, and i mite get a polarg bulb for my map light when i go pik these up. thanx for everyone advice.

I have the same setup as Triple8, but I have 7000k hids..

This is how they shine on the road.....They look ok. I had super plasmas before, and they are real nice too.

 

if yourlooking for the yellownes of the lexus do a tint on the foglight lens with the piaa plasma. in the 5thgen forum we had a long arguement about it

 

yah i just read a post in the general maxima discussions about yellow covers u can buy really cheap at any motorcycle shop. if they are as cheap as they the post sez then mmmmmaybe i mite get them and see how they look. i put all my new bulbs in and my super plasmas in and they look great right now. ill post sum pics up when i get my HIDs in the mail and inistall them with my super plasma so u guys can see hpow they look. i cant wait til its done
