Question on installing CD changer for BOSE (4th gen)
Are the BOSE in 4th gen pre-wired for cd changer? (I have a 1998 SE w/BOSE)
If so, where is the wire harness? I have checked in the trunk and under the passenger seat. But couldn't find it.
If not, does anyone know the part no to the wire harness to the stock CD changer for BOSE? Please advise.
Thank you in advance for your help

No they are not pre-wired. I know when I purchased my 96 that they said it was pre-wired too - but it wasn't.
If you get the cd changer - shop around to find the best deal - I found a spec-usa that is oem compatible with the Bose and paid around 225 or so for it. It came with the cables. Just plug and run them to the trunk.

No they are not. I bought the factory changer for about approx. $280 (it was on sale at 50% and added a discount to that price) and a 1995 install kit (to install the changer on the trunk roof to save cargo space in the trunk) for about $35 and installed the thing myslef. The changer came with the harness. So no part # for it.
I actually returned the 1999 kit that had come with the changer. BTW 1998 and 1999 stereos are virtually the same from the back so you should have to get the same changer I got.
There was a guy on the old BBS that helped me install the changer with phone and email help.
All the best!
