I dont know man. Ive seen stock type r's go 14.7 stock. Remember they have about the same hp you have and weigh 500lbs less than you witch makes up for not having any torque. It should be a good race. Good luck.

True but they make their torque much higher in the rpm range. But they do have pretty short gears. Okay race up a hill then. hehe. I'm just trying to help here! LOL

It's just going to be real close man. I am not a honda fan but the type rs are pretty "quick" Is this going to be a drag race or a race on the highway?

i donno man, the stocks type r (if its a 98 - 2001) run to 195 hp & they are lighter than the max by alot. I also think that a y pipe could help you in this position & a K&n filter. But still, kick some integra ***

Those ITRs have mad highway kicks dude. They are definitly no slouch in that area. I think you have a tough race on your hands. I think if he shifts perfectly and you shift perfectly, he'll win... but anything can happen in a race

If you don't jump out to a 2 car lead from 0-30mph like you should with your torque advantage, he's gonna walk you after 70mph. From personal experience, a Maxima 5 speed with just an intake doesn't have much topend. Once you get a y-pipe and B-pipe, the Maxima pulls dramatically harder in the topend. You'll need atleast all these mods to stand a chance against a well driven Type R. Has your buddy ever taken his car to the track? Everyone thinks they are John Force until they get their first timeslip. Hell, I thought I was good until I got my first timeslip of a 15.6@90mph. With no other power mods added and 30 passes down the track, I'm running 14.7@94mph. Hmmmmmm.....

BTW, I've run 3 Type Rs so far and I haven't been able to "walk" them. I do have one run from the track on tape with me beating a yellow ITR with a 15.1 to his 15.2.
