I talked to the parking garage "manager" the morning of the incident and he told me that because my car was not driven in it is not their responsibility. They did have a sign saying "park at your own risk" somewhere in the garage, I just never saw it.

Trust me, I have tried a couple different things trying to get past there bullsh*t, I am still waiting for them to fax over a copy of the parking garage rules and regulations. I had my roomate call and get a copy so that I knew they wouldn't modify one to say what they wanted it to say.

I have intentions of going after them with a lawyer if my insurance company really makes this a hassle and doesn't come through. The hardest part of this whole thing is the fact that I was the one vandalized, yet I feel my insurance company is doing me more wrong than the theives that busted up my car.

Oh well.. I am sure it will work out somehow, I am anxious to move onto a new car.

Some people can be a$$holes. I am sorry to hear what happened. BTW the G35's are hot as hell. My neighbor has one and it rides like a bat out of hell. Other than my max his car is the best one the block. LOL.

Thanks again for all the kind words, I was really angry and really upset at first but it is only a car and you can always move on to something else.

what about hiring a private investigator or something? Not a serious case my ***, if damage was 20k+ then its a serious felony. If i were in your place, id love to get a hold of the guys who did this crap even if it was a small fee to pay

What a ****ty hotel, I bet it was an inside job, the guy got mad because you didn't let his grease monkey *** touch the car, so they decided to pull one on you... What kind of stupid *** **** is that if you drive your own car into their parking there not responsible? Whats the difference with them monkeys doing it and not you? Do they have some sort of special magical powers to keep the car safe when they drive it?

Hope you get everything worked out, sue them **** out of them bastards if you find a exploit in there stupid *** policy..... You'll always be remembered as the best maximas there was, I dont think anyone would come close...

Once again, good luck and hope everything works out for you, hope you make that g35 just as nice or nicer as the max ever was...

The first thing my roomate said was that he hoped the guys who took everything went far away. I am not a shady person, but I know some shady people. If I really wanted to put in all that time and effort to find the people, I would probably end up in a worse position for some of the things I would want to do. It is only a car I guess, and things are replacable.

I guess this was just the final piece in the puzzle that was this car, I was putting the car up for sale the day after the show too. Oh well, the G35 should be a good car to move onto, although it's slow I have some plans once things finish out with the max.

thanks again for all the comments..

USAA can be like that. A friend of mine was under investigation from them when his car got stolen, after a couple of months and him refusing to take a lie detector test they paid off his car. They were tryin to get out of it but he stayed persistant and worked the chain and finally a higher up just said f*ck it, just pay off his car. If you want to know anymore details about it email me and Ill find out for ya. Just dont give in and let them try to f*ck you over, after all they pride themselves in customer service . I only got a checkin account w/ them thoug b/c I think they are too Damn expensive. Good luck!!!!

FYI, that policy IS true...I'm by no means defending it, but I was a valet for a few years and UNLESS the car is in valet custody, it isn't hotel/casino liablity. The valet is "secured" with cameras, gates, and security personel(once a blue moon really), so it's somewhat secure. No way the hotel is going to be held responsible unless they were negligent in some way, ie drag racing competition going on IN THE GARAGE with your/others cars getting smacked and nobody reported it, yet there are 10,000 skid marks and enough beer bottles to start your own home brew company. Don't ask how I know this.

However, I'll let you in on a little secret that usually works, just tell the valet to jump in and tell you where to park it with a $10 or $20 in your hand. Then when you want the car back, ask the same, but sometimes that doesn't work because his boss is around, so ask to be taken to your car so you can get "something"(don't be specific) out of it. Then once you're up at your car, ask to bring it down and he'll give you a ride back in it. Normally at least and money talks if not.

BTW, NEVER and I mean NEVER valet your car....you don't even want to know the horror stories I've seen.

DAMMIT!!

My condolences to you man. So there's no video to be reviewed from the entrance, elevator, etc. cameras? Frustrating to me that they wouldn't take prints or blood - coulda made their job a whole lot easier if they gave a rats ****.

Were there other show participants staying at the hotel? Any Honduh boys? They'd be at the top of my list!

You're handling this a lot better than I think I would.

Good times with the G.

Sorry to hear this. Sounds like somebody knew what they were doing, by cutting the battery wire. How many maximas have batterys in the trunk...But then again they could have seen that from the car show if you already been in it that day. Good luck w/your new ride.

so sorry man. I've been around 4th gens as long as there has been a 4th gen, and your car was hands down the best I'd ever seen, the car I'd always show people when they wanted to know what a 4th gen could be.

I can't believe that sh*t happened to you in a hotel parking garage. if it was me, I'd be suing them so bad they wouldn't know which was was up....and then getting me a private investigator and a glock...

this maybe not something that people want to think about but its possible that these people who go around breaking into maximas could be people from this forum. i mean how would u know his battery is in the trunk??? thats the work of somebody who is familiar with that car. this is kinda like that other guy who had his boosted 4th gen broken into in a parking garage. i really hope that people arent looking on this forum to find cars to steal and then follow you around waiting around to break into it. I really feel bad for you and all of those people who had there cars broken into. i hope u havent lost ur drive for modding your car and maybe u could have fun wit ur g35.

SOrry to hear about your car. The same thing happened to me but unfortunatly I didnt have it setup for insurance to cover it.

I would assume the insurance is giving you a hard time because the car is prolly worth 8-10k blue book value & the fact that ppl set this type of stuff up all the time, ripping off the insurance company. Insurance fraud.

Im damn sure that nice G35 will make you forget about all of this.
Good luck with it.

The Karma Will Come To Those ******* Losers

Sorry Man for the loss and all the hard work you put into that car!!! I was just watching the video of your car this morning Jason not even looking at this post thinking someday Ill have the money to have a nice ride like that. Guess I skipped over it. It is a real shame to see it go. Guess I skipped over it. Unfortunately I had missed your visit to Atlanta this year and last year. But that was a badass Maxima.

Yeah those insurance companies are a pain. I called my insurance as soon as I put my Alpine cd-player in and JL subs and the Alpine amp just to be sure because my car had been broken into twice back in the day.

But the G35 is a nice find. Those cars are sweet I have valeted park a few here in Atlanta and love the sound of the stock exhaust at idle. That low tone growl is nice.

Yeah, sorry to see that happen to such a beautiful car. Especially one I slaved over in a hot garage for countless hours and designed so many custom dashes for. Hope those bastards get caught and beaten to death in prison by someone they robbed.

Makes me want to move to Texas where it's legal to protect property w/ deadly force. At least then those punks have to risk death everytime they try to steal a stereo.
