dam, im thinkin what you can do -it happened to me, hit and run,they said my car was totaled, $12000 invested in a 97 accord- insurance wanted to give me book value $5800, i said no, got a lawyer, got all my recipts and pics, get someone to apprase the car at $11000 and then the battle did begin. 6 months later, i got $10000. lawyers will do whatever they can to get $$$ for you and them. i know your max has way more $$ invested, but i feel you. dont even bother with the insurance company, waste of time. get a lawyer on your side and let the battle begin. again bro, good luck with everything and i hope it goes your way.

no bull man. my lawyer took about $2500 when it was all over. believe me, we fought and fought.

If anyone on here lives in daytona and could swing by for me, please let me know I would appreciate not having to drive down there.

sorry to hear bro. dont get jerked around by these foo's. i work at a large hotel and as far as i know, as long as you didnt sign any kind of liability waiver for parking on THEIR property, THEY are liable for the damages to your car.... especially seeing that they say that they have security monitoring the garage. you should hold the hotel accountable & let them deal w/ those fawks that messed up ur ride. it was the hotel's fault for letting vandals on property w/ malicious intent

After reading this thoroughly and carefully. I can only come to 1 conclusion.
Dude seriously you could've come up with a better setting for this happening.
1) The setting. Daytona Saturday night after the show. I have been going to these shows for the past 3 years. Not once have I come across some this severe especially in a hotel parking garage. People are constantly in and out of garages doesn't matter time of day or night. NO ONE SLEEPS. A couple times I didn't leave till 5 in the morning. For them to do all of this someone had to have notice something witnessed something.
2) Either someone hated you that bad or you just wanted the G35 as your new project jus as much. I mean come-on to seriosuly damage the car so much to where you can barely slavage anything in the car. Holes in trunk, seats, windows, dash, switches, AC, wheels, etc. All electronics basically damaged and basically smashed in the car. F*ck I'd be taking a damn TV and sh*t trying to sell some crap on E-Bay. Keying the car rear and roof down to metal sure enought to do damage to paint. Surprisingly the engine was not touched. Bet you can get a whole heap of money for the turbo kit.
3) Putting down money on a G35 and rims so quick. It's a given.

I even asked the guy who runs parking and he said security and police monitored the garage all night, but apparently not. And no cameras where anywhere in the garage.
I had USAA insurance, who said the car was always covered as is. Apparently they were just jerking me around the whole time. From now on I will always pay a premium (pay towards the stated value of the car) for insurance and not what they think its worth. So I can constantly up the value of the car and make sure things are covered.

I guess this was just the final piece in the puzzle that was this car, I was putting the car up for sale the day after the show too. Oh well, the G35 should be a good car to move onto, although it's slow I have some plans once things finish out with the max.

This is hilarious.. I had thought about replying to each one of your statements and to each one of your comments, but the shear fact that you think I would trash my own car is a laugh-riot. What's funny is, that I was in bed with my girl the night it happened (in a hotel room, with 5 other people around all night), so there is no way I had anything to do with it there, and even if I had people come and do it why would it be in a hotel parking garage with supposed security and surveillence??? And lastly, I had test driven the g-coupe and was ready to buy it before any of this happened. This has been a bump in the process of getting a new car, some of us can afford to buy new cars and have other cars (sorry to say).

FYI chap keen eyes to notice the Accord. I am sure those eyes came in handy when covering tracks. Actually it is my moms. As for the 280Z yes you are right it is my dads and will be mine. 350Z we both share the 300ZX and 350Z the car is as good as mines as it is his. What can i say i got it like that? The title for the 300 is in my name. We had Z's all our lives. How bout not trying to pull **** out your *** and actually spend some time on your own problems. It's nice to know someone is interested in you but the fact that it being a guy is rather ***goty.

Ok! I am been readin through the thread and then wham...Jason gets called a liar and a fraud.....AccordInspire do you have anything to back up your claim....do you even know Jason?
I have meet Jason at many meets (here in NJ) and he is not the type of guy to do this. Yes he like to show off his car....but isn't that why we are here. I mean AccordInspire...showed off his (maybe) Z cars.

. A quick way to owning a G35

I think if I was going to pull an insurance fraud. I would make sure all my **** is covered before pulling the job. It's like blowing up my car while I only have liability insurance. With only liability, the insurance company won't pay you a dime. Think people.....think. Plus...why total the car? Why not just "take out" $8,000 worth of stuff. That way insurance pays you $8,000, no questions ask. You still get to keep your car. Oh, if it's a fraud. Wouldn't Jason just keep things on the DL? The less people know about it. The better it would be.

I am not saying he did it because I have no proof and I could care less. I am simply stating an opinion as to a possibilitiy in this scenario. The situation as a whole seems fishy. Someone breaks into a car and takes basically nothing?? And to have so much time to do all of this to a damn good looking car and again I state take nothing?

I mean come-on to seriosuly damage the car so much to where you can barely slavage anything in the car. Holes in trunk, seats, windows, dash, switches, AC, wheels, etc. All electronics basically damaged and basically smashed in the car. F*ck I'd be taking a damn TV and sh*t trying to sell some crap on E-Bay. Keying the car rear and roof down to metal sure enought to do damage to paint. Surprisingly the engine was not touched. Bet you can get a whole heap of money for the turbo kit.

Who the **** cares you have 3 Z's? Sadler's car put down more power than any of them. And I'm sure once your dad gives you the car and the money to buy parts for it it'll be hotter than Sadler's car. But we're talking about a car that's consumed thousands of hours of his labor that he can't claim on an insurance form. That car was his only car so of course he'd be looking for an alternative right away. He had been looking for a daily driver for the past year. If you ever saw his car before he's not your avg broke Maxima owner. He probably spent more per month on that thing than a car payment on a G35.
As the person that built his turbo, you'd have to understand that it's almost impossible to steal that turbo w/o taking the entire car. 90% of it is under the car or behind the bumper. At most they'd get a x-over pipe and the turbo itself and that's a pretty involved process in itself. Then it's a chromed one off prototype turbo setup so we'd find it if anyone tried to sell it online. It's not worth the trouble. It may be worth some money now but he's still losing money on it considering the money of getting it all chromed etc.
They took the easy stuff they could move. Stereo equipment is relatively small and untraceable. Nothing took more than a few minutes to mess up or rip out. As for the vandalism...it happens. A lot of thieves are haters and like to mess up whatever they can't take. His AFC was part of the dash with the turbo timer and if you can't get the harnesses out they're worthless so they probably ditched them.
Thieves are stupid. They broke into my old Accord to steal a CD player worth much less than the window they broke along w/ damaging the door very badly. They left the roof rack which was worth more than the car itself and stole one bottle of sprite out of a 6-pack in the back seat. Does that mean I did it myself to commit insurance fraud and sell the parts?
Go look at what happened to BioMaxDDS and his 5th gen where they stole his Dentist school recommendation papers out of his bookbag. You can't always explain why thieves target certain cars or parts.

It's a shame the car is gone and maybe it was fraud and maybe it wasn't.. I don't know anyone who would put in all that time then wreck thier own car. People accused me of the same **** when it happened to me.. My pics are on my homepage. I actually got a kick out of it when they were accusing. Yeah like I really wanted to wreck a car that was beautiful and paid off to now having a monthly payment..

On a side note, when I changed my insurance to Geico. They asked me to list all my mods with prices. I did..and it only increase my premium by $20. Extra $20 to cover over $25,000 worth of stuff.
Jason is a honest guy, no bs type of person...If any of you think he pulled insurance fraud, you are wrong, and I can vouch for how much he loved that car (as much as many of us did). We spent many days and nights on the phone planning his car out, and after four long years, his dream is taken away...

Thanks for the confirmation on what was stolen. One thing is for sure though, I never asked you or anyone to care about the Z collection. I could care less who cares, did I ask you to care? NO! So you are right who the **** cares? It was stated in case someone thought I was hating on his MAX. I've seen his max seen him talked to him before. I simply mentioned that because I ahve 3 Z's at my disposal. Can a Max ever compare to a Z? ***** NO! Daytona during spring break is full of stupid crime like this. Thousands of anonymous people cruising around through all hours of the night. Loud exhausts set off every car alarm everywhere so nobody pays any attention. It's a thief's paradise b/c the cops are too busy busting drunken brawls to ever cruise a parking deck.
Coming up w/ half assed conclusions is a b!tch ain't it. Just like my ill-conceived assumption that you're a pansy that gets everything from your parents from what you've posted. You're making the same assumption about Sadler destroying his own car to collect on the insurance money. His car is worth a lot more than the collective sum of it's parts and there isn't a chance in hell they'll give him every cent he put into it. His Max is paid for and he could have easily returned as much of it to stock, kept it for a daily driver and sold the parts to pay for a new project rather than ripping it up like that.
Accusing a man of destroying something he worked that hard on is just crass and uncalled for. If you get one of your beloved Z's stolen see how it feels to have someone accuse you of driving it into the ocean just so you can buy another one.
