Ok let me say I thought i lost my tranny yesterday !!!!

PLEASE READ THIS
its happened to me twice once with my 92 max now with my 95
so doubt its just me ?

I was driven home from work yesterday i'm accelerating onto route 17 south doin bout 40 and the cars ahead slam the break so i do the same i've never hit the breaks this hard.. so the abs kicks in and i almost hit the car ahead of me ... that alone scared me $hitless

now i go to accelerate again and its all good .. i get to 60 mph and the car is at 2k rpm .. fine
all of a sudden the rpm's jump to 4k rpm ???????????????
and the car feels as though the tranny or sumtin is gone ...
i take my foot off the gas and apply again and the rpm's just rise to 4k and the car barely goes ...
i turd OD off and nutin happens ?
i slow down to 50 and drop the car into second gear ( my car is auto i put it on two ) again nutin happens ???
by now i'm about to cry cause i dunno WTF is goin on and i only had the car for 2 weeks .......
so i remember this same thing happened to me in my 92 max so i tell my pops to look at it (he wuz a mech) so he starts it and it runs fine..

so i pull over into a gas station (i had no gas left ..talk about adding insult to injury)
i turn it off and start it and it runs good for 1-2 mins then it goes back to the same **** but the whole time i feel it gettin better...
i go home and shut it off .. by now i've determined its sumtin to do with the ECU
i unplug the neg battery terminal for 45 min = RESET
I start it again and it's fine ...
God ... i love and hate this car ..

this happen to any1 else ..
should i have nissan check out the ecu
please gimme some advice i dunno what to do ..

on another note i painted my calipers sky blue and they great i'll try to post pics soon ..

I had that happen to my 91 and it was the torque converter that failed on me. I ended up spending 1300 for a tranny rebuild. Not good.

once only and that was it.. ppl say it could be, tranny got hot, OD tripped out so you were stuck in 3rd teh whole time a and when it went into od it felt like N right??? i hate it whent things like that happen, now i got a new problem not caused from that tho.
