A SI beats a 2k maxima 5spd by 2-3 car lengths?! I don't think so!

I think it's highly unlikely that an SI can beat a Max, especially if it was from a rolling start...and the Max was a 5 speed.

sounds to me like...

the maxima guy wasnt ready to race yet. he might of been in second gear while rolling at 15mph.. or he had too much respect for his friend and didnt want to bash his feelings.

I don't think so either. I took out a Civic SI w/mods and I'm a 4th gen. auto, nonetheless. So, the driver must really sucked.

My buddies got an SI that looks stock from the outside, beside the pillar gauge cluster. But he completely rebuilt and turbo'ed the motor and is putting down just over 300hp now. I raced him just for fun one day... do I need to say the outcome. I challenged him again for a couple months down the line when I get some more mods done, we'll see then...

he said he was running something like 15.6 add another .2.3
thats almost 16 seconds right I don't know how a stock max can run 16 seconds??. a stock auto max is faster then that so he must have geo metro with a "maxima" sign on the back

You got to give them credit that they understanda 2K Maxima will take out an Si.

I mean I can say I beat a Vette when we raced from a stop. But leaving out the detail that he started in 2nd gear and then shifted into 5th/6th is another thing.

A lot of girls spread their legs for me everyday.
Oh ya, did i mention im a Gynacologist (sp?).

Im not, personally, but you know what Im getting across.

Russ I thought you weren't going to visit that site again

Si beating a 5th generation 5speed? Thats to funny. He probably doesn't know or doesn't believe 5th generation 5speeds is the faster car STOCK which is why he posted that. If it was true, I can believe that he whooped on a 3rd generation VG 5speed but 5th generation? That guy in the 5th gen must not be racing. Unless he somehow has driving secrets he isn't revealing, he CAN run high 14's/low 15's like the 5th generation 5speeds

A bit of topic but I find it interesting:
I used a stopwatch doing 0-60 times last night. I know this isn't the most accurate but I had fun. I had one hand on the steering wheel and the other on my stop watch. I press start as soon as I floored the car. I stoped it once I see it reached 60mph. It was more like between 59-61mph. I did I total of 4 runs and recorded each one and rounded to the nearest 10th. My friend and I also raced to 60. He drives a Dodge Ram. He was really with me until I pulled away at 40mph.

Run #1- 7.3seconds
Run #2- 7.6seconds
Run #3- 7.5seconds
Run #4- 7.3seconds

Do you have any clue what the 5th generation stick members are running STOCK? Please visit the 5th generation forum and ask the members. This is the 2nd post on here and it still seems like you're talking out of your....

The post said Stick, not automatic. "driver does make the diff esp if auto" oh really? Does an automatic take "THAT" much skill to drive it and a stick doesn't?

Russ beautiful car BTW! Probably can't wait until your through 1,000 miles huh?
