GXE, SE or GLE??? i always thought it was a GXE but my insurance card says its a GLE. so i then checked the title, it said MGS. Here is what i have...

-1997
-White with black leather
-Steel wheels/hub caps
-spoiler
-NO fogs
-NO GLE badge
-NO power seats
-NO climate control
-5-speed
-Bose..dunno. i bought the car with an aftermarket stereo
-black gauge cluster

isnt it a GXE? is it common that insurance companies mess up on trim levels? well, if it is a GXE, better resale value with GLE.

 

dead give away.. GLE never had a 5 speed option

 

My first clue was the steel wheels and covers.

ALL GLEs had power drivers seats, Bose, auto trannys, alloys, and auto climate control. The GLE badges didn't get added to '99 I think.

 

If your door handles are chrome it's a GXE if they are body coloured it's an SE. But it is looking like a GXE due to the guage colour, who would want to loose those beautiful whites?

You should also be able to check the VIN with a local dealer.

 

It's a GXE, get it corrected with insurance co asap, might save on premium.

 

I think it was 97 they started adding GLE badges

 

I think GXE with aftermarket leather seats

 

prolly a GXE with an added spoiler, leather... cuz no GLE has a 5-speed, and SE's have white gauges and fogs.

 

I guess it's a little too late to mention that it's a GXE since 9 ppl arleady responded.

Its a GXE...my neighbors have the same thing...a GXE with leather...theirs is a 98 though. I think in '97-'98 leather was an option on the GXE.
