thought this would be in my manual but i couldnt find it. I dont know if they have batteries or what but mine hardly works any more. I gotta get real close to the gate and push it a few times till it opens but my wifes car opens it no prob. please help a noob

 

No, they do not have batteries. I am not sure where they are wired to from the factory. But I installed homelink in my 92 and got the juice from the dome lights. One power wire and one ground wire.

 

definetly not on batteries. Do you have any tint on the windshield or any type of relfective materical that might bounce the signal elsewhere?

 

I use to have a big sticker across my windshiel but I peeled it last week and it hasnt gotten any better. Whats wierd is when I first got the car it would open as I was coming around the corner and now I gotta get right up on it. (w/ in 10 feet)

I just installed mine, i have 20% tint on the windshield and it still opens up good. I dont know if its reflective tint up but my EZ-Pass and cell phone still work.
