Time to replace front pads?

I have 45,000 miles on a 2000 Max. For the past few weeks the front wheels constantly squeal when the car is moving at moderate speed (under 30 MPH). There's 1/8 inch of material remaining on the front brake pads. Is the squeal coming from the audible sensors on the pad? Is it time to replace them?

Dunno. Take off the front wheels and give them a good inspection. I can't see your brake pads through this computer

jeez, my pads CONSTANTLY squeel now. I even redid them last summer by applying the anti squeel stuff and putting new OEM shims on. LAME!!!!!!! I probably need to get the rotors resurfaced.
