Help--Place Racing CAI
Anyone know exactly where the plug in on the intake is for the Temp sensor, also I think I have the correct sensor out allready it is located in the little ram air tube for the stock intake, place racing said that there is a hook up for the temp sensor, but just thought I would ask anyone with the CAI
It think the "correct sensor" you're talking about may be the boost controller. The boost controller is the sensor near the front of the engine, mounted by (or on) the radiator. The CAI does not have a plug for that one. I just wrapped that in a on an engine support near its original location. The temp sensor is further back, if you look on the stock airbox, it was attached to the pipe that went into the left wheel fender and came up into the air filter box. That sensor should be re-located to the pipe on the CAI that connects to the throttle body. You know, that pipe that as 2 extra little pipes sticking out of it. If you hold that pipe around the middle, feel underneath where the 2 little pipes stick out. You should find a hole there for the temp sensor. The hole in mine was too big, so I had to put some adhesive gummy stuff around the sensor so it would stay put in that hole.
Hope this helps.
