Just wondering what everyone is paying these days...at my work there is a super wawa with gas station that sells for 1.99 since it open a month ago...and last night near my apt there is a citgo place that sell for 1.96, is gas price coming down slowly now?
Of course nothing in the metro area where the average is like $2.39. I think last time I filled up it was $2.34.
1.95/gal for 93 here at Delta Gas on Sunday and Wednesday. W00t for 4cents off!
WOW!!! I've paying alot for premium gas here in NJ (Central/Northern Area)
4-22 $1.89/gal
5-17 $2.19/gal
I just went on vacation and haven't filled recently so I don't remember what I paid recently but it definitly around $2.20+/gal.
I think this is soo F^ up!
Why should gas really be thirty cents more here in Jersey on the atlantic coast then in the middle of the country in IL and OH!
Doesn't this seem wrong to you! I understand that certain areas cost more and gas has been "considered cheap" for a while but what gives?

Our prices have slowly started to come down (they always seem to go up faster than they go down). We have a couple of stations (Chevron and BP) that are in the $1.96-$1.98 range for the 93 octane here. However, everybody else is still about $.10-$.15 higher! That just tells me that there are a LOT of stations around here that are gouging us because they think they can!
We actually have a law in FL saying that gas stations can't sell for a loss (trying to save Mom and Pop stations from the big-money stations under-cutting them until they're out of business and then hiking up the prices). So, since you can't sell for a loss, then tell me how the Chevron and BP stations on the same street as the two low-sellers within a mile or two are charging that much more. They are using the same supplier as the other stores, most likely. But, heh, this is another rant for another day (or thread).

My grandpa owns a Marathon Station in here in Ohio and we have those same laws. The stations such as BP and Chevron don't sell their gas for a loss and I don't remember what their profit is on the gas, but there definatley is one. The thing with those companies, especially BP, is that they know by offering those huge stores and car washes, they will attract more customers. The stores and car washes make up for the 10 cent difference on the gas prices. The mom and pops cant compete because they need their extra 10 cents to be able to run their own stores and shops. Thats also why you see BP buy out alot of mom and pops. They give them a ton of money for their station knowing they will make it back in just a couple years. If a gas station doesnt offer more than just gas and snack machine, it will not succeed.Originally Posted by sheidt

$1.82/gallon for 93 octane here in Georgia. Its been steadily dropping about a cent per day for the last week and a half. I hope it continues to drop.
uhh... $2.41 for 93 last I checked... having my car in the shop for two weeks was a blessing and a curse.

$1.99 for 93

I have to pay the equivilant of US$2.60/gl (NZ$1.219/L) for 96 (same as your 93)
