I was told this morning, that infiniti would be changing the name of the I30 to I35, and that they would only be making the 260hp engine as a Limited Edition, as for the Maxima, it would be Standardly Equipped

hey this wouldn't make sense. So, they're equipping the Max with a 260hp and then only giving the 260hp to people who buy an i35 specially equipped? What will the standard i35 engine be? The old one? This would be a HUGE marketing blunder to give the Infiniti buyer less than the Nissan buyer.

Well......

I read a little while back in an Auto Week magazine that the Maxima would be an SE-R with 260 HP. So what you say could be true in reverse.

The max will have a standerd 260 HP V6 and they might have a 275 HP SE-R version.

yeah at a new maxima price of about 23 grand, I say damn, not many sedans have that much hp at that price
