****Info On the 2002 Maxima & I30****
I was told this morning, that infiniti would be changing the name of the I30 to I35, and that they would only be making the 260hp engine as a Limited Edition, as for the Maxima, it would be Standardly Equipped

hey this wouldn't make sense. So, they're equipping the Max with a 260hp and then only giving the 260hp to people who buy an i35 specially equipped? What will the standard i35 engine be? The old one? This would be a HUGE marketing blunder to give the Infiniti buyer less than the Nissan buyer.

I read a little while back in an Auto Week magazine that the Maxima would be an SE-R with 260 HP. So what you say could be true in reverse.
