I believe (and we shall see with his response to my next question) that he is just using an auto motor, not the tranny. I could be wrong, though.

Mike- you are keeping the VLSD 5MT, right? Aren't you just using the MOTOR from an auto? Your response to BEJAY1 has me confused.

Sadly, I did not do the bulk of the work. A guy at work did the removal and install and I just did some of the wiring and reconnection of most of the hoses and such.

i30miked. Wouldn't some cam regrinds provide better gains than the headers since you already had y-pipe. You can probally get them regrinded and crane cams for $600. Should go great with the mevi.

I thought about it, but for one I did not want to give up any low end and the headers were an easy install since the motor was out. There was also a time issue, once I started on the car it had to be done fast. I also was unsure about what type of specs I needed/wanted for the cams. The org was down most of the time I was going through all of this and that would have helped alot. In the end, it just was not doable.

But now I have a spare motor to play with and may do that in the future....don't really know what I am going to do with this motor but building it is always and option.
