You pretty much get everything you ever want in a strut/spring. Adjustable height, full suspension travel, adjustable damping and camber adjustment.

1MAX2NV: I thought you were getting KSports?

Also, I think these D2's are somehow rebadged by D2 Auto Technik. Check their website and compare logos: http://www.d2technik.com/home.htm

So one question are these like the JIC where as you can lower the strut body on the perch so that you will lower the car but not loose any suspension travel? The one thing the JIC have over all other is that but if the D2's have that than Im deffinately going with them.

Get them installed yet? Lets see some pics of the car with these coilovers installed. I am actually interested in this setup, this should fix my camber problem, my Eibachs/Tokico[blue] setup is getting old now too. Hows the ride? Is it too stiff?

Firestone is pretty cool about doing alignments. he said one time they had a honda so low they had to get it on wood planks before they could get it aligned.

1MAX2NV - How much camber adjustment is there in the plates 1.0 or 2.0 degrees or more. Just wonder cause for track purposes some negative camber is good and I was hopeing these had some decent adjustability when it comes to camber.

Thanks,
Bruce

Ksports are rebadged D2s. Different color and logo but still the same. Anyway, Ksports decided not to carry A32 application because lack of pre-order. I paid and waited for 2 months. I believe D2 Technik and D2 Racing are not affiliated.

Bruce...the camber plates look the same as the Stillen. What really hold maxima's camber plate adjustablity is the size of the strut mount hole. You can only move it so much. I'm just interested in getting the camber back to OEM spec.

Hey thanks, that makes sense now that I think about it. But I know what you mean I have 1.5 degrees negaitive camber and Im tired of running through ties all the time.

Thanks

I just bought mine from F. It does have a clause of like 6K min miles between alignments. I fully expect them to support me on camber plates, me in the car, etc. just like Just Tires did. I always throw the alignment techs a few bucks for the effort too.

sexy coilovers dude..
the logo does look the same as the D2 racing 3000gt company vehicle I see around town. They are also listed as a D2 distributor on the west coast, but they have been pretty silent

oh, and the company website www.d2racing.com.tw

To go beyond -2deg you can combine plates with either one or two spindle bolts. I've seen as much as -3.0 and -3.5 by doing that. Even with a soft front I doubt you'd need that much though.

Hey Bejay,

Thanks thats good to know but for road racing I dont go more than -2.0 deg of camber cause my turn in start to get to quick and I have to way to finese the searing and also I find my car lags on the straights cause of the camber.

Good point. That's the problem with either very low profile tires or too much negative camber. Slower accel and longer braking distance.

Yeah as much as I like a quick steering, and good turn in rate I still want to be able to have good stright line speed(to pull on the little civics and integras running around the track). But My suspension is to still sometimes, I need better dampening. I bounce way to much, I have tried adjusing my rebound but with 550/650lb springs the illuminas just dont seem to keep up. Thus, Im switching to either these D2's or JIC's. Not to mention I am killing my CV's. Does anyone know where I can get high hp/tq Axels. Thanks

Even with different dampening you're still gonna have some bounce. 650's in the rear = over 3.0cps (cycles). Anything but a glass smooth track is gonna bounce at that stiffness.

Well yeah I know, thats why Im switching to JIC's cause there spring rate is a little more appropriate for the street not to mention that they have adjustable perch's so I can effectively lower the vehicle with out changing the ammount of suspension travel. See thats really my problem. Im so low that its changing the effictive rebound rate of the shock and its causing me to become unstable when cornering and hitting anykind of hole or bump. So I dont like the idea of the car being so off balance. So Im going to a more adjustable suspension.

But thanks for the input I like to hear how other people think and what they see as good and bad. Helps me make a decisions on what to do with my car.

Thanks,
Bruce

D2's look like a cheaper alternative to the JIC's, but that lower bracket just doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy...

On the D2's, the height is adjusted on the bottom, so full suspension travel is retained.

Yeah thats right its a very nice feature, just because you can effectively lower the car and still keep the travel dont go too low cause your underbody will take a beating. Just something to keep in mind. I would not go any father than a three inch drop from factory. I would recomend around 2.25 to 2.5" drop.
