This is how I did my swap. Bought an entire engine. I plan on putting the rest of the engine in sometime. Been saying that for 4 months now, though.

Intake manifold off 01 wont work unless you want rid off your egr system

no one bought it, now wouldn't that be a good deal ($300) for any 2001 maxima that has blown their engine?

so there is no posible way to do this swap? sorry for sounding stupid.( but I'm not really into mechanics, so I don't know much)

The swap is possible. Just missing a couple pieces and some time to do it. There's an extra coolant line that comes out of the valley between the heads that isn't on a regular DE. My DE-k was missing some pieces in this area so I need to get them first.

This is almost an identical situation as the one I had when I purchased my motor. I watched it go on Ebay 2-3 times with no one bidding, wondering to myself, "Why the hell doesn't anyone jump on this?!?!". So I emailed the guy and shot him an offer and he took it. Thankfully I work at a trucking company so shipping was VERY cheap. Maybe it's the shipping that keeps people from buying motors. ???

Hey krismax, did you ever take your EGR off or did you leave it alone?

I want to do it but i want resisters to fool the computer ,i really dont know where to begin. Could you post a few pics of the area or pics of the stuff you took off? That would be great.
Im going to get a 00-01 engine to put in my max so i dont want the egr stuff then.

Ya, I'll take some pics of how it looks now. I'll see if I can remeber approx. where stuff was and point out what went where.

I get a EGR temp code and one about something to do with my EVAP something-or-other. I'll look it up tomorrow and see exactly what it was.

you took the evap **** off to ? wheres the fuel go to?

So how did you plug the exaust manifold ,head where the egr valve goes and bottom of the upeer IM . Did you make plates for the last two and a screw in plug for the exauhst manifold?

No, EVAP stuff is still there. It may not be associated with the stuff I took off. I'm not sure. I need to investigate it some more.

Thats exactly how I did it. Plugged the exhaust manifold, made a triangle plate that bolts on the bottom of the IM. The EGR set-up just bolts to the side of head so nothing needed to be plugged up there.

EDIT: My codes are 0305 (EGR temp sensor) and 1005 (EGRC solenoid valve). I don't know why I thought it was an EVAP code.
