Your not going to be the fastest NA Max without an ECU and/or MEVI...

Nealoc and Kris are the 2 fastest NA Maximas... both hit high 13's all motor.

Nobody is really close to Neal...13.4 @ 102. Krismax is running some good times but is still .4 slower.

13.4 should be no problem too beat once the mevi and ecu are on, then I need a less restrictive exhaust.

I agree the whole key for you is an extended redline. Did you upgrade the valve springs when you did the cams? What redline are you having the ECU set to?

Krismax was using an 8000 redline limit and I believe he had stock internals. Of course I think his engine recently blew too.

Krismax's engine is blown because oil pump has been showing signs of dieing for about 6-8 months. It has oil in hte coolant and has been leaking fluid for over 1year--well before he got the 8000 redline. He has been needing a new engine for a long time now. He ran 13.8xx at 101.xx with a bad engine and mostlikly a bad VI. With a new engine a working VI, he will be mid to low 13's. If he does more of hte thing he has planned, he has a great chance of hitting 12's.

How big of a difference do you expect I can get with ecu and mevi?

Since you have cams it will probably be an even bigger difference than i saw but on average i am about .4 to .5 seconds quicker and 4mph faster with mevi and ECU than without.

I suspect the MEVI will give you a few more MPH but the VQ30 heads are going to be your Achilles heel. They have smaller intake valves and ports than the VQ35 heads.

My current best NA run is 13.19 @ 107.33 with slicks.

I have a set of 3.5 heads im working on to test on my car with no variable cam timing so I can use them in a 4th gen with no wiring mods needed, I have a custom lower manifold ported and modded to fit a 3.0 upper and bolt to 3.5 heads

Yeah you can use the VQ30 timing gear with the VQ35 tensioner. Just cap off the top of that tensioner.

Im just pluging the extra oil ports at the cam chain tensioners and using all 3.0 chains and gears I have it all figured out just waiting for time to do it

2.090
5.804
8.896
79.55
11.574
13.823
100.26

My engine is not blown my oil pump is bad and i have a head gasket leak which ive had before the 8000rpm ECU . I will be back next season with a new engine (not a 95-99 engine) and i will take the crown.

It is impressive that you have no ECU or VI . But neal or me have no 3.5 block

11.5:1 is not bad. There are people that can build 18.0:1 engines that run pump gas. My brothers 3.1 liter Grand Prix is at about 12.0:1 now on pump gas.
