Pulleys?

Ok i think there might be one thing that i dont have alot of knowledge on....pulleys? i hear everyone talking about them and how they add hp... what are they? how much are they? how do they work? ,can some1 give me a lil info lol?

They do NOT "ADD" HP, they simply FREE it up. Think of a 10 speed bike. The smaller "gear" does more revolutions than the bigger one. You pedal just the same but get more out of it on the smaller gear.

The "udp" (underdrive pulley) is lighter than the stock crank pulley. Therefore it's easier to revolve, making more power. custommaxima.com sells them....or else try Unorthadox.com ?

i heard they are a good bang for the buck true or false, whats some good UDP's ? im interested...

True. Unorthodox udp's are what people are using. Time tested on max's they say. Some experience rough idle, dimming lights and so on because the size of the pully is smaller than stock...not charging up the electrical system enough. others experience no prob at all. There's another pully that unorthodox makes, called the SC. Same size as the stock pully, but lighter than stock. So you'll still gain, but won't experience any of the probs.
