94 vs. 03
I was on the highway tonight with my girl and my cousin. When all of a sudden we get to a light and this max pulls up. It was a 94 or some 3rd gen, but anyway at first we started normal then he gave a little gas and I responded. Then he just took off then I wasn't going to go but I'm like damn that 3rd gen is fast. My girl kept telling me oh his car is faster than yours. So me like a dumb a** took what she said as a challenge. At the next light I looked at him and he pointed to the road, so I'm like lets do this but when the light turned green I floored it to hard and my car just stood in place spinning the tires until I let up a little. He got a jump on me but only was ahead of my by a half car, the wierd thing was is that I couldn't gain on him until I got to like 90 then I started passing him. We did this a couple more times at the lights but I got him good but didn't leave him. Then we stopped and he rolled down his window and I was like dag is that turboed cause I heard a hissing noise. He told me that he put in a 00 max engine in his car and I was like damn for real. I beleived him because I smoke 3rd & 4th gens bad (no offense I love all max years) but I was no other excuse why he was keeping up with me like that. Sorry this story was so long but I just had to tell someone in the max community.

It is more likely that he put on a turbo kit. Doing that swap takes basically a full donor car. Everything needs to be fabricated (engine and tranny mounts) and all of the wiring and crap has to be swapped.
I guess it's possible, but extremely unlikely.

I see everyone thinks it was just him blowing smoke up my a$$ about the engine. Maybe it was a turbo was the times he got beside me I heard a hissing noise over my intake so that was pretty loud.
