new car fever

ok... don't know why but im getting the new car fever..
current car: pearl white 96 gxe automatic 113k miles...

what would you do in my position

A) get a 00-03 black se auto 30k miles
or
B) 98 se 5spd 100k miles or more (or less)

PROS: 1) black 00-03 se is on a lot in my town. 30k miles (alot less that my car now)
2) be upgrading to a 3.5 (if i chose the 00-03)
3) newer
4) if i choose the 98, id get to keep my mods.

CONS:1) if i chose the 00-03 i would lose my exhaust, cold air, ect ect...
2) would owe money on the newer car
3) would have to find a 98, as none in my town have one

ofcourse there are more to it.. and this in no way is going to effect my dicision.. just getting a general idea of what you guys would do if you were in my place

Get an 03, keep the 4th gen that's what I did. 2 cars = pricey if you have a mod bug. .

Or be smart, save money and keep the 4th gen, it still has many years of life in it.

Thats what I did when I got my 01 I kept my 97 and still had my old 89 that I had since new. My 01 was lost so my 97 became my main car but I traded it in on my 03 which I love. So now I have my 03 and my old 89 (liability only), for what they will give ya its worth keeping that 96 as a bad weather/backup car.

since you got the "new car fever", trade-in your max and get the '03
i'm sure you'll somehow make enough money to mod the new car
plus isnt it so much more enjoyable driving a new car?

so basically, unless you find a 98 (extremely narrow search) you have no option. just sell the mods on here or sell the car for a higher price and get the "00-03" near you. But how do only know it is 00-03? you must of just saw it and not really looked at it. And I thought 3.5 started in 02? not 00-03

personally, I would keep the 98 and save for the 5th gen. you just can't get nothing for used cars today. you may get your mod $$ back by trading/selling the whole car.

dude, i have been in your situation one too many times...keep the fourth gen for now until you are completly ready money wise to sell your 4th gen and get the 5th gen...also you only want to get a 2002-2003 5th gen, anything else would be dumb cuz its the same engine in the 00-01 as the 4th gens. good luck.
