I live in Colorado so I have to have license plates on the front and back of my car and the one on the front is right in the middle of the lower part of the grill. Does this make a difference in performance whatsoever, or is there already plenty of air being taken in?

Do you mean for the radiator? I doubt it makes much of a difference. As for air going into the intake, I don't think the license plate has any effect on that whatsoever.

If you were turbo and had an intercooler I would be a little more worried. As far as cooling goes I think you are fine in Colorado.

It's a very miniscule amount. The '97 front grill is even worse as it's solid too and larger.
