You need to throw a laptop in there instead Anthony.

Will not work for several reasons. Don't worry though, the PC isn't sitting under the rear deck like that forever. It was a temporary solution. My next project is a custom box for the trunk that will hold the computer guts, the AMP, and the new subwoofer. You'll look in the trunk and just see a nice box and only the cd-changer on the rear deck. I know it looks clumsy but it's better than what I had before.

Nice. Very nice.

One question: how long it takes for the system to boot up?

What about your hard drive skipping or possibly getting damaged when encountering bumps and what not on the road?

You should add the category "Its Awesome!".
I had to settle for "I like it!".

I haven't timed it, but the short answer is:

WAY TOO LONG

Yeh, prepare for impact!

I never take that thing down if the car's moving, of course. But sometimes I reach up and use the arrows to move through music. Easier than the remote sometimes, and I can actually keep my eye on the road much better.

It hasn't been a problem yet but if it becomes one, I'll put in the Quantum (now maxtor) Fireball drive with their new SPS3 (shock protection system).

the more I see your setup, the more I want to try to integrate my little NEC 120LT laptop into my car....hmmm, how could this work with the BOSE??... Maybe I could just let it be independent of the BOSE and have the navigational system hooked up. I thought about making a swing out type mechinism that would sit on the side of the stereo...kind of like how you pop out the service tray on some airlines...and have the monitor hooked up to that. THen get the wireless keyboard/mouse for entering info....just thoughts though, maybe I'll work on it one day.
