ALL GEN, who has the highest Miles?
#42
Navfe....adding the miles on your tranny with the miles on your motor doesn't equal total miles of the car. It's what your odometer reads....but you can definately mention the mileage those on both of those.
BTW, didn't you say you had 135k on your motor? Now your saying you have 145k?

Just this past weekend I talked to a lady at the car wash that was drying her burnt orange 04 Maxima SE and we got to talking. She said her and her husband own 3 maximas. A 2nd gen 87 model year, the 2004 Maxima, and a 3rd gen 1990 model year that is still running strong with 380,000+ miles on the odometer. She stated that they have had all cars since they were brand new.
As for me I currently have on my 88 maxima 185k+ miles on my car. And it still cranks up and runs strong. Just recently replaced the tranny cooler lines.

My first 3rd gen VE 5-speed went to 160k with no ticking VTCs. This one was running strong at 149k, but I put in a JDM engine. It still has the original muffler on it.
I remember seeing an interior pic of a 3rd gen with 400k+ miles. If I recall correctly, it had some dude's picture ID badge hanging from the mirror and .orgers were making fun of him.

my 92 se has 187000 on the original engine and tranny. the auto tranny MIGHT last until 200k miles, but its doubtful. Ticking VTCs and some fashionable rust on the trunk and door jambs. Hopefully since I got a partial scholarship to college, I might be able to get a decent 4th gen for graduation.ce:

Bump for Pat, Ivolley - he had 95 or 96 green maxima with 365 000 , 5 speed , original tranny , but on the second clutch.
mine has 142 original tranny and motor. Look great from outside but when you drive it it feels like the car has over milion miles on it......
Nick.
