whats a good and dependable radar detector?

theres a lot of talk about the valentine 1, the bel 980, and the escort 8500. i ended up with the escort passport 8500. i like it. it has some good features; i especially like the ability to make the display show multiple signals -- it shows up to 2 KA, 3K, and 3X, all at the same time.

i cant comapre it to anything else, because i havent used any other detector.

i have found that it has good range. the cops over here use KA, and the dectector has blipped the laser alarm too several times. it has saved me several times.

anyway, im just rambling... but fyi.....
