I have a 97 SE with all bose system. My cd player skip very easily. It skip when i am going down the highway and change lanes when ever i hit the little yellow bumpers. What can I do to fix thhis. Are all of them like this. I would think that a nice CD player like this should not skip.

Bose Suck....

You are about the woaaa's of the Clarion A.K.A. "Bose Audio System." First your cd's start skipping, then here come the nap, crackle, and pops of the speakers, then your headunit letters start to fade. I would suggest that you go out and buy a whole new system for your car, cuz the "Bose" system is really not worth it.

Check all the connections on your CD player and Bose system...maybe there's a loose wire or maybe your player is dirty...

hope this helps

My CD player started eating my CDs...I'd press eject and the CD wouldn't come out...I'd use another CD and push the one inside forward while I pushed the eject button and it would come out. I checked the connections, cleaned the player...everything, but still it wouldn't work properly.

I took it to the dealer who couldn't figure out what was wrong with it either...Luckily I was still under warranty, they ordered a new unit and I haven't had any problems since...

Tyson97SE, How long is your warranty?

I had this problem as well with my 97 stocker bose radio. Mine occured on right hand turns over bumps. Very annoying. Goodthing carmax's contractor replaced the radio, but they put in one from a 95. It looks ugly, but it serves its purpose.
