Where do u guys wash your car?

I go to those Coin-Op places where u buy tokens & u r provided with a high-powered jet spray ...
Do u guys use these places or do u wash @ home? If @ home ... how do u prevent wind from throwing up stuff on the car .. or stay shaded from the sun?

I always wash at home. Most car wash place wont accept responsibility if my wheels get scratched (18") so I do it at home. Plus I hate going to the car wash and being like you missed a spot... and here also. I wash it myself and can't complain.

I wash it at home on the lawn. I park it under a big tree in the front so it cools off first, then I wash the car, and water the lawn at the same time... ![Big Grin](https://maxima.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Drying is superfast with the California Waterblade.

My preferences:
1. Wash at home - done right, and I get all the spots under my bike rack
2. Coin-op sprayer - again, I get to control the coverage, but feeding in all those coins is a pain
3. Drive-thru wash - misses spots, my wheels are still dirty, but does the job when there's no spare time (like this week!)

I wash at home in the evening when it is cool and the car is cool under my pecan trees
in the winter time I use the coin washes they do a decent job
and I am constantly wiping off with the "california car duster"

well...
once or twice a month I take my car to a full service wash (Sky Wash) where they do the wheels, interior and everything. They have computers with internet access while you wait so I check the maxima.org fourms to see what's goin on.
In between getting my car washed at Sky Wash I take my car to the BP gas station drive thru wash. They just got a new system that really does a good job and is twice as fast as the lasat setup they had there.

I do it early in the morning or late evening. I prefer cloudy days, especially for waxing.
When I am fed up and don't have time I take it to a hand car wash that is down my street. I never go to automatic car washes. Showing up at work with a spotless car is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.

My apartment complex has a "car wash" spot... it's basically 2 hoses and a vacuum and a restricted parking space. I wash it there, then take it back in front of my place to detail.

i wach mine on my driveway...
i wait till about six in the evening when my house will cast a nice shade and i wash my car under there. i wash it almost every other weekend, unless it gets real messy. about once a month, i spend the 4-5 hour deal vacuuming, waxing, treating leather seats and every other good thing to my car. the only problem is, whenever i wash my car, my parents make wash theirs too, but they dont the the rainX, armor-all and all the other goodies

you guys think the california water blade works good? when i saw that thing i had doubts cause it looked weird... they sell it at costco for like $12 and its double that in auto stores! if you guys swear by it maybe ill pick one up.. it looks like it would scratch your car or something... also the cali dust remover seems interesting too... ill look into them.. one product you should never use is that simoniz at home car wash thing. my aunt has it... theres plastic strips that hold it down the cloth... the plastic strip put a nice few scratches on my car
from now on im gonna do it the old fashioned way

I wash my car on the Driveway at Home....
Every G*d D*me time i sped two hours cleaning the car, inside and out.. she looks sweet for half an hour...
It the Pollen.... Dam Pollen all over my clean car....
Woke up this morning and the car was COVERED in Green Pollen...My wife's White Navigator looked like sh*t too....
Have to clean out the garage and get the Maxima in..
I prefered the winter cold dry days, at least everyones car looked like crap....

It's a wax(?) covered soft brush that you use to lightly dust your car. Works best if you use it often.
Both exterior and interior. At Costco they sell a two pack, big one for outside, little one for inside.
Buy em all! Dusters and blade!
