350z Sport Horn vs. 350z Stock Horn

Does anyone know if the 350z Sport Horn (here) sounds different from the stock 350z Horn? I looked on Ebay and some descriptions of the sport horn say, "Do you want your Z to sound different." Well, I want the horns that sound like the stock Z, deeper than our ones. Jerry Rome has stock Z horns for about $90 for the set (high and low) opposed to $45 for the "sport horn" set. Also, I don't want the hella horns so please don't suggest those. Thanks and any info is appreciated.

Hmm, I want to know too. If these sound good(I don't think you can get worse than stock 4th gen) Ima buy some. Not a bad price IMO.

Sounds okay, not as good as stock 350z according to 350z forums, but different. So ima buy pretty soon. It sounds way better than stock 4th gen..

Thanks guys. I think the sport horn is too high compared to the stock Z horn. I've heard the stock Z horn in person and really like the sound of it. Guess I have to fork over some extra $.

I got a horn off a 2004 Range Rover the other day. I got it free, and don't even know if it'll fit/adapt, but its worth a shot..

Yes, very. Those horns have the utility of a compressed air tank to feed to horns from. In theory, you could hook one up to a max in which the air compressor tank was placed in the trunk and the horns under chassis. It's the ONLY way to get big sound. I have FIAMM air horns which put out 134dB...while that may sound like alot, the frequency is what really matters...

Because my car now sounds like I have a 134dB clown horn

It should, depends on how the stock system is set up. There's two types

1.) The horn is grounded and the power is switched, these usually have 1 wire coming from them (the positive) and the it's grounded to the mounting bolt.

2.)The horn has constant power and the ground is switched, these usually have 2 wires coming from them

Stock is the 1st one I believe, and if the range rover is the 1st one also it should be no problem. If they're different you would have to run a relay, which wouldn't be too hard either.

Thanks.

Thats great..So worst case, its still do-able.. I was worried that it wouldn't work, no matter what.

Thank you

stock 4th gen horn is obnoxious.
I enjoy blaring it in even more obnoxious long island rush hour traffic.
