Nice wheels/tires/brakes that you have! How much did the brake setup cost you, if you don't mind me asking?

$45-Jeff92se Brackets
$45-Candiman rings
$80-rotors
$150-SS lines, Ceramic Pads, Fluid from Derrick
$50 Misc parts
Free-Calipers

Larrio- Yea theres a noticable spot where the pad don't touch the rotor but I think this setup is still doing its job, my oem brakes had a spot like this too so it isn't like this is the only setup that this happens to.

Dang, that's a steal! How much would the calipers be usually if you didn't get them for free?

I think Derrick sells them for like $200ish, check the GD forum

BTW- I gotta powdercoat these rims, the wheel spray paint chips enough that it bugs me and I'm too lazy to redo them again.

BTW: I meant to ask you, do u have the G35 rears/fronts or do u have front/fronts?

If you have rear/front, do u have the front in the rear?

What rotors are you using? Like from what car?

13" Mustang Cobra rotors. Using the 1998 year spec is good enough.

But I'd also like to know if this setup clears those G35 wheels with no spacers.

s0ber, like you I have one set of each of the fronts and rears, it came with 225/50/17s & 235/50/17s. Currently I have 225s(on the 17x7.5) and 245s(on the 17x8). However as you can see in the pic my rear tires (245s) are in the front and the 225s are in the back. The reason is the 225s are better conditons than my 245s and I needed to rotate them.
Both rims cleared with no problem, orignally I had the 17x7.5 in the front and 17x8s in the rear but like I said before, I need to swap them due to the tire condition. No spacers were required for either setup, it clears the caliper just fine. Although I do perfer to put the 17x7.5 in the front cuz it sit closer to the caliper which personally I think it looks better, once winter is over I plan on getting these powdercoated and new 235s or 245s all the way around.

Are you using the right pads in there? They seem to barely be using the rotor surface. If i'm not mistaken, those calipers were made for much smaller rotors, so it doesn't seem safe to just stick them onto other purposes.
But good job on the color matching!

you really need to take a ride and stop from 100mph to really appreciate the stopping power and feel you get for such a small price.

Ever take a look at a new rotor?? Even stock brake pads don't use all the area of a stock rotor. But I digress (again)
