Just bought the anniversary edition SE. The dealer recommended waxing the car with NuFinish and then washing the car therafter with water only and no soap. He said wax every three months with NuFinish and never use soap on the car ... just water and a soft cotton cloth for washing and drying. What do you all think? Good advice? Is NuFinish a good product? What about the no soap business? Just water is okay? Thanks

Nah! Use soap that just doesn't strip wax. NuFinish looks cool to me, so try it.

If my memory serves me correct, you shouldn't use NuFinish on a brand new car.

My personal reccommendation is Zymol wax, and Zymol car wash soap (very good stuff!)
You should always use soap...as long as it's good soap. The soap helps to keep you from scratching the finish when you wash.

There are two types of Zymol wax that you could get for your car...the first is the liquid Cleaner wax...light blue color bottle. Not too expensive. The second, which I highly reccommend, is Zymol Japon wax. It is a paste that is specially made for Japanese car paint. It restores moisture to the paint and strengthens it, making it less prone to chipping (big problem with newer paint). You should also used the Zymol HD cleanser before waxing...It removes any old wax and acts as a polish...giving your paint an AMAZING deepness to it.

You do pay a hefty price for these products though...the wax is $38 and the cleaner is $16....but FULLY worth it.
