my attempt at something artistic...feedback?

first time using photoshop, got something that was finally worth looking at.

i know this is a pretty lame post, but i could use the criticism

let me know what you think...good or bad! (i know my car isnt much to look at as far as exterior 'bling'. i couldnt come up with anything good using the engine or interior.) hard to believe standing outside of the car with the hood down that there is well over $12k in mods on the car makes me ill at times haha

thanks!

Looks really good, especially if it's really your first time like you say. I don't really like the texture on the top and bottom though, otherwise I think it looks really cool.

I like it. Keep the texture, make the lines transparent to some degree and bring out the gauges a touch and you'll be all set!

Erty67 is the sig guru.... he did mine!

the text was the hardest part to figure out...i find many options to format the text with.

thanks for the feedback guys. photoshop is sooo sophisticated, its hard to find all the diffrerent things you can do with it! even finding the line tool and how to use it was hard! haha.

maybe i will mess with making another one. thanks again!

Add the burlap to the entire thing and get rid of the lines. Also, make the guages either more or not visible.

A couple suggestions from a fellow Photoshopper:

Get rid of the outer bevel. Try a solid black border instead but not too wide, just something small to frame out your sig.

Try using a different texture or maybe a different effect altogether in those areas.

If you want to keep that texture then make the textured areas on the top and bottom a little smaller and move the lines accordingly - they seem out of proportion with the rest of the picture to me. Also, set the opacity on those textures just a little bit lower.

Not a big fan of the font either, but that is all personal preference.
