I hope you're joking.

The hood looks good, nice and subtle. Was a metal scoop fabricated and welded in?

It's not going to vent very well. The base of the windshield is a high pressure zone. That's why the HVAC intakes are located there.

I'd be surprised if there was any significant air flow in either direction out of that "vent."

I agree, i was just commenting on what the actual purpose of the scoop was supposed to be for. I was thinking about getting some vents for the stock hood welded in until I got the CF hood. I was going to use the Z34 Lumina vents about mid way up the hood along the outer edges...

The best place for a rear-facing vent would be just behind the radiator, but in front of the engine. This would vent the warm, high pressure air coming out of the radiator and hitting the front of the engine. This would also reduce front end lift at high speeds. This high pressure air can escape out the top of the engine compartment through the vent instead of being forced under the car.

thanks for the link, those are sort of like the style vents I was going to use. I guess centering them would be a lot more functional.

actually, it will vent well. Because when the air goes over the motor it hits the firewall and then has to go under the car. That is why some people do the mod of raising the hinge points on the back of the hood.
I had a honda a long time ago that the hood opened backwards. If I would pop ther hood on the car it would raise up as I drove faster.
So the air that goes thru the motor will go out thru there.
