Interchangability of Nissan parts???

This is a question that's sure to send a few of you guys to the tech books. My question is....could a tq converter from my maxima fit into and slide onto a 240sx auto tranny/bellhouseing/spline? I have a 95 max and the 240 in question is an 89 coupe/base.

Thanks for the reply Zack. What if we were to consider leaving out the layout of the drivetrain for a minute and consider how we could mate up the two pieces. I'm looking for info on the TC mateing onto the spline of the other auto tranny. Concurrently DT layout has nothing to do with this. Reason being is that all engines and trannies mount up in the same spot....back of engine to front of tranny.
