Throttle Body Whistle

My 01 Max whistles on the highway when you apply slight pressure to the gas. If you push the gas moderatly or hard it goes away. Everyone says its the air passing by the butterfly valve in the throttle body. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of this whistle. Some people say they like it, i kinda find it annoying.

There's a plate behind the TB that might have been removed. I know some have removed it in hopes of gaining power, and as a result have noticed a whistle. Check to see if it is there. If I had a picture I could show you where it's located. Find a picture of the TB and post and I'll point it out.

This might not solve your problem, but it might be possible.

You hear the whistle whether or not you have that plate. Removing the plate makes the whistle louder, and installing an aftermarket intake also makes the whistle louder at partial throttle.

the whistle is definetly normally and just a by-product of the throttle body design. Every maxima i have installed an intake on or heard with an intake has had the whistle. Definetly sounds like a ghetto turbo, try to fool some people with it lol.
