This guy I work with drives a 97 Accord. The interior is stripped, custom paint, body kit, lowered, blah blah. He also says he has an engine swap. Some people said we should reace and I said of course, 5spd vs. 5spd btw. He has NOS but won't spray. I reminded him of the engine I have and he busted out with the classic "what other 4 cyl can produce 200 hp." Anyways what do you guys think I'm gonna race him no matter what. I'll beat him tho, right?

 

It's the 6 cylinder Accord that puts out 200hp, right?

 

What kind of engine swap? If he has a H22 in there that puts out 200 hp....

My guess is that this "stupid Accord" probably swapped in a H22. If he stripped the car and has spray with the H22, I don't think you will beat him.

if he has the h22 you are in trouble. a friend of mine has the swap and he runs consistent 14.7 with bolt ons.

don't underestimate the accords. An LX 5 speed accord (non vtec) with bolt ons runs 15.5 which is bascially what a lot of maximas are running.

 

cars have brains...and Accords are stupid.

Of course when a guy says his car is madly modded, he's never telling the truth.
