Pretty bezel, nice illumination, colorful (but not as sharp) cutoff. Not a huge fan of blacked out headlights but a lot of people like them on the org! Congrats! Just working on the wiring harness for my E46's and they will be done!
Wow, excellent work, I know you must be happy with them.
I honnest dont like the look at all, the first shot with the light off looks clean but when you turn the lights on it looks terrible. I like how the stock orange corners are matching the clearance light but I still feel its very unattractive. I think it would look much sharper if you had kept or had the AE style for the headlights.

ok wow, I take my original comment back. With the nightshaded corners, that look freaking awesome! Amazing what a little color matching will do! VERY nice job. So clean!
Hey meanbean, geo, blueC or anyone that has replaced their 95/96 headlights to 97-99, how do you take the black headlight housing off the 95/96 housing and put it on the 97-99?
Also, I am running into a couple connection gremlins. My wire harness connection point is my 9004 headlight connector from an old 9004 bulb which plugs right into the stock 9004 harness. My projectors come on (high and low) when I tested them with my wire harness plugged in but it is tempermental.
I know the weak link is between the 9004 bulb socket that I used and the stock 9004 socket. Inside, it's basically 3 prongs that plug into the stock socket. When I play with the angle to the wires and push hard on one side of the orange part of the 9004 socket, it comes on reliably but I can't get it to stay there when I let go or even if I tape it! Is there any way to hardwire the 9004 socket into my 9004 bulb plug which is attached to my wiring harness for my projectors?
Many thanks in advance for your ideas!

To remove the screws, you will first have to keep turning the aiming bars/screws until the headlight is extended to its furthest point. This will allow enough clearance so that you will be able to use a Phillips screwdriver to reach and remove the 2 screws that is connecting the base of aiming bar/screw to the headlight. Keep in mind that the space is still a little tight so if your Phillips screwdriver will not fit then try just a Phillips screwdriver bit and use vise grips to hold the bit and break the screws loose. I happen to have a small ratchet screw driver that I used on PC builds so I had no problem with fitment.

You're amazing Meanbean. I will try as you advise when I have more time!

edit: One more question. I am moving to CA as we speak. Will I be able to pass the safety inspection with my projectors in or do I have to put in my old headlights?

Glad to help. I know of no one who has failed vehicle inspection due to HID projector retro in CA. If you think about it, you are only taking OEM projectors used in other cars and putting them on yours so there should not be a problem. If you manage to fail then just go to a different inspector. From what I have seen, CA vehicle inspection is usually tough on emissions related problems and not lighting. Some states only check to make sure the lights will work and the high beam indicator shows on the gauges so check CA regulations to be sure. Hope this helps.
