That's kind of a stretch

I've never ridden a motorcycle, but I've considered it a few times and have done alot of reading on various forums (this one included...threads on the subject pop up every so often in OT...where this will surely end up) and IMO that is WAAAAAAAAAAAY to much bike for a beginner (as a gixxer would be). Start on a ninja 250 or 500 or a suzuki GS500 or something similar. You will likely be able to end up selling it for nearly what you paid after a season or two of learning so don't try saying you don't want to waste money by getting something you will outgrow. Also take and MSF course and put away $700-1000 for GOOD gear. Be safe and have fun...it's definitely a hobby a hope to take on some day.

Only problem I have is your chance of survival goes way down once you get on one. May the Schwartz be with you.....

250's are for girls. no beginner should start on a 250. i started on a 600 4 years ago. i needed a bike to pop wheelies so i don't beat my nice ride.......... stppies and wheelies mess up ur front end.
750cc is perfect all around size...........600 is just not enough bike.

i used to have a bike just like it (a F3) several years ago. It is plenty fast, especially if you wind it up (14,000 redline). I grew up on dirtbikes though so if it is your first bike you should be very careful..

you do not need to start on anything above a 600, i do nto care what anyone says. i mean you can and you can be fine with it, but there is more risk cause of the more power you have. Just go and talk to other bikers, they all have stories that will put it into prospective. Honestly if i was you, wanting to do the things you do i would even go cheaper than that. that is a god bike to start on doing tricks if that is what you are looking to spend. just remeber to buy some sliders before you start and that should save alittl money. and buy good gear cause you are going to fall.

Dude that thing is way too clean for a first stunt bike. When you're learning tricks, you are gonna be crashing a LOT, and you're gonna trash that thing. In order to not trash it, you need a 12 bar and an engine cage, and some lower geared sprockets would be nice. All of that is like $600, so if you're willing to spend that go for it. If not, get on www.stuntlife.com and you will find bikes there already set up for it. You will also find a lot of info that 99% of people on this site know nothing about. They will also not go on and on about how you're going to kill yourself and call you stupid which is not what you asked for their opinion on. Good luck man, it's addictive. Wheelieing bikes is one of the most fun things I have ever done.

Then why did the Stunt Wars national champion this year ride a yamaha R6???

See man, classic example why this is the wrong website.

hahaha, i drove a 250cc and a 400cc CBR in china, The 400 was bulky, and the 250 was nimble, Me and my friends always tried popping wheelies, but its so hard since it only had like around 60hp. but 600's are Freking FAST, I think anything above that is too much unless you live in a farm area. what are you gonna do with all that power is what I say

Man For a begginer rider i wouldn't recomend a honda their to heavy. try out the yamaha r-6 its a little slower than the r-1 but who needs to do a wheelie at a buck-10

That's waaay too clean for a stunter. If you want, I have a 96 gix 750 project bike i've been working on which is almost complete which would be an ideal stunter. If you're interested shootme a PM and I can give you details.
