Ok, I drove to my friends last night, went to a movie (I didn't drive and my car just sat in their driveway). When I tried to go home, my car didn't start. I didn't leave the lights on or anything like that to drain the battery. I didn't have anything to test the battery, but I'm almost positive that it's fine. The lights work fine and you can hear the starter sounding exactly like it does every single time, but it just keeps going and doesn't turn the engine. Also, I noticed that the dash warning lights (check engine, airbag, oil, etc) that are supposed to come on when I turn to 'ON' didn't come on at all. My a/c/fan doesn't work at all either

I figured it was probably a fuse so I checked all of them, but they all looked fine. Fusible links are all ok too. I didn't have the stuff I needed to test the relays so I'll go back and do that later today.

Any of you guys have any other ideas of what to look for/do?

(I tried popping the clutch, but it didn't do anything either)

I'm not familiar with the 3rd gen setup yet...do you have a distrib cap/rotor/spark plugs that are visible? Is it a 5 spd or an auto?

5spd, but when I tried popping the clutch, it did nothing, so that was kind of weird

NOW we know what's wrong....damn VEs!

Sorry, Craig, I can't help you. Clueless as to what it might be......It *may* be the clutch pedal "switch" that allows you to start the car only if its depressed. Take your floor mat out and give it a try. My wife's old Sentra had that happen a couple of times, otherwise

How about the alternator? The battery could've been drained during your evening outing and over the past couple of days without you knowing it. If the alternator's dead, then you're running off of battery power alone, and when that's gone too, your next restart won't go so well.

Sounds like either it's an ignition problem or fuel system problem.

Sounds exactly like mine did...I had to get my key reprogammed as it had lost it's code for the ignition.
