APEXi NA/Turbo Timer... Worth It?
heys guys,
i saw this... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MakeTrack=true on ebay.
This timer has a air-fuel ratio monitor by reading the oxygen level from the ECU on your car
Automatically detects engine heat and keeps the motor running and adjusts the idle length.
Features engine shut down when parking brake is released to prevent damage from a vehicle that is idling
Idling starts when the key is removed from the ignition.
Is it worth it? Would it do anything as NA?
Thanks
Sean

They must have added the "for NA..." cars part to get more sales, cause no NA car would really need it, only Boosted.
It would be weired to have you car running for another 10 mins and your inside watching TV, in these kneck of the wood, I'd be worried someone would think I left it running and try to jack it.

A turbo timer allows the oil running through the turbo to cool down and not cake inside it.
Will it help an NA engine at all? no
Is it kind of a cool feature to have? yes, You can take your keys out, run inside and grab something and if you time it right jump back into your car and not have to restart it.
If you want to waste your money on it, go right ahead.

Most people are fairly on to it, if a cars left running and all doors are locked then it has turbo timer (or a dumba$$).
