50% of time when I stomp on it, the tranny just stayed in the current gear. WTF, does it need adjustment? Maybe it's time to flush the ATF again.

That sucks. I dont really have that prob. Sometimes on the car will stay in a gear a bit longer then i want it to or it once in a blue moon it will decide to lag and not down shift right away. Maybe its the TCM? How is the NOS going for you Tony?

My tranny used to lag once in a blue moon, but now it does it more often. About nitrous, I finally found some teflon compound that would hold the pressure. I got it from NAPA and it's made by Loc-tite. Damn expensive too, $10 for a big tube. Everything is ready except the MSD window switch. I'm going to hit it anyway just to test it out. Mounted some LEDs on the dash to show when the bottle heater is on and when system is armed. I'm going to wire up a blue warning light/mini shift light to the MSD window switch to indicate when the nitrous is flowing. Just to double check if the MSD window switch have the right RPM modules.

That's exactly where the Transgo kit helps the most; downshifts are 60-70% faster than stock.

I'm going to flush my tranny with some dino fluid or synth. blend. The Redline D4 ATF might be causing the problem. Who knows? It's been really bad lately.

My auto seems to go back and forth. Some days it seems to downshift at the slightest touch of the throttle. Others, it won't downshift for what seems like forever, even at WOT. I'm going to flush it and see if that helps any, but there's only 13,000 on this tranny fluid, so I don't know how much good it's going to do.

I got the same problem. Sometimes when I floored it, I got an instant downshift and good acceleration. However, other times, when I floored it, the car didn't seem to want to downshift and just stay in the current gear. WTH?! Well, I'll get Don's VB mod when Don get back into business. Although, I haven't had my tranny flushed yet. Maybe I should do that?

guys that are complaining....do you have Pop charger/Stillen intakes or CAI? I had Pop and went to CAI and found that my car used to delay when downshifting, but doesn't nearly as much now that I'm CAI. Just my experience....

I have the CAI. I highly doubt it has anything to do with intakes. I'm sure it's the tranny itself.

ooh I was just going to ask about htis...how onvenient! Will a tranny cooler help too? Aside from these expensive kits....

(I haven't called for the price but I'm guessing it's probably 5change at least)

Just an update-->

I bought 14 qts of Mobil 1 at the local Pep Boys yesterday. $5.99 a qt. About $2.5 cheaper than Redline D4 ATF. Let's see if this will do the trick. I'm going to stop by the Vavoline Instant Oil change during lunch break for the flush.
